LANNER TRAIL 3 - TRAMWAY EXTENDED TRAIL
This trail takes you further than Trail 2, around old quarries and some lovely wild countryside. The trail loops you back round into the village so you can have some lunch. Continuing on up the other side of the valley the trail takes you up Carn Marth.
You can either park up by the water reservoir or join this trail from the Reduth and Chasewater trail. The beginning has fantastic views over the valley down to Lanner and way beyond. You then loop on round the village. Look out for the granite setts on the trail where the old tramway rails would have sat.
In the village you can either stop for lunch at one of the two pubs or pick up a traditional pasty from the bakery and have a picnic.
The trail then heads back down to the village, crosses the main road and goes up the hill to the water reservoir to re-join the Redruth and Chasewater Trail.
