LANNER TRAIL 2 - TRAMWAY TRAIL
This is mostly a flat trail except one steep set of steps*. It takes you along the top of Lanner and then down into the village where you can stop and have some refreshment before going on.
You can either park up by the water reservoir or join this trail from the Reduth and Chasewater trail. The beginning has fantastic views over the valley down to Lanner and way beyond. You then loop on round the village. Look out for the granite setts on the trail where the old tramway rails would have sat.
In the village you can either stop for lunch at one of the two pubs or pick up a traditional pasty from the bakery and have a picnic.
* If you’re on a mobility scooter you can either turn around at the end of the Tresavean Trail and retrace your route to the car park or, rather than re-join the Trail via Rough Street go on up Lanner Hill to the top and turn left at the small triangle of grass back to their start point.
